Ananda Sukarlan's music in Jakarta this whole week

Several works of Ananda Sukarlan are performed by young musicians next week in Jakarta (and one in Bandung) :

- Wednesday, May 11th, 7.30 p.m at Erasmus Huis : Guitarrist Hery Budiawan will perform Ananda's piece for guitar solo "The 5 lovers of Drupadi". - Fiday May 13th, 7.30 p.m at Erasmus Huis : the vocal students of Antonius Stanley Limandau will perform several of Ananda's works for voice & piano in a concert entitled " Our Treasure Around the World" . - At the same day May 13th, at the Universitas Pelita Harapan (Karawaci) Building D501 there will be a Benefit Concert for Japan. Ananda's short but deeply moving piano piece for left hand alone, "1 minute for Japan" will be performed by Japanese pianist Kazuha Nakahara. Concert starts at 7 p.m -Admission is free. Donations will be accepted at the door, and they will be sent to Japan via Red Cross/Japan Embassy.

- May 14th 7.30 p.m at Centre Culturel Francais (Pusat Kebudayaan Prancis), Jl. Purnawarman no. 32, Bandung : the brilliant winner of the Male Voice Category of the Ananda Sukarlan Vocal Competition "Tembang Puitik Ananda Sukarlan" ADI NUGROHO (tenor) will team up with soprano Christine Tobing in their recital "Personal Notes" where they will perform Ananda's famous duet "Dalam Doaku" from the cantata Ars Amatoria. Pianists Andrew Sudjana & Teo Minaroy will accompany them.
