1. Ananda Sukarlan Center for Music and Dance, located at Jl. RS Fatmawati, Kompleks Duta Mas Blok A1 no. 11, Jakarta 12150 will open next week. This 5-storey building will house the Jakarta Conservatory of Music (starting 2011), Jakarta Ballet, Jakarta New Year Concert, Indonesian Classical Music Foundation, Ananda Sukarlan Award office and a showroom as well as shop for musical instruments and musical accessories. It has also a mini concert hall for an audience of 60 as well as some chambers to be rented for rehearsals & educational purposes. Ananda Sukarlan will also give masterclasses here whenever he visits Jakarta. Manuscripts of his works will also be kept here so that music students and musicians can see them if they want to do research of his works.

2. The insription deadline for the "Ananda Sukarlan Award" National Piano Competition will close on June 10th, 2010. The competition will be organized between the 20th to 25th of July this year. 3. Our Indonesian Classical Music Foundation will launch our Cum Laude Concert Series starting the month of July this year. This series will present selected young and brilliant musicians, and the Foundation hopes to help introducing them to the wide public of Jakarta and launch their musical career. There will be 2 kinds of concerts which the foundation hopes to present at least once a month : a concert only for "friends of YMSI" for donateurs and special invitees, and another concert for public with very accessible ticket prices, directed mostly for students and young people.
The concert for "Friends of YMSI" will be launched by the 1st prize winner of Ananda Sukarlan Award 2008, Inge Buniardi together with cellist Asep Hidayat on the 8th of July.
